A concert with three well-known Norwegian musicians will be held on Friday at 19.00 in Nidaros Cathedral. Henning Sommerro, will improvise over the theme of musicals and musical drama. Gunnar Andreas Berg and Anne Kleivset, will present a special composition. Information about the artists: Henning Sommerro. Composer, organist, pianist and vocalist. He has written ballads, chamber music, choral and orchestral music, operas, film music and music for the theatre. He also works with folk music and improvisation. He has toured in Europe and the USA, has contributed to a great number of CDs and received numerous awards. He is nominated for the Nordic Council Music Prize 2008 Gunnar Andreas Berg. Guitarist, composer and producer. He has issued four solo CDs and produced and participated in numerous productions which have received many awards, including several "Spelemannsprisen", the highest award for music presented in Norway. He has toured with rock music, jazz and folk music together with artists such as Palle Mikkelborg, Sondre Brattland, Gary Holton & Casino Steel and Åge Aleksandersen. He has recently issued a new solo CD with the Cuban folklore group Yoruba Andabo. Anne Kleivset.Vocalist and choir conductor. For a number of years she has worked with "kveding", a unique Norwegian vocal folk style, and has developed this musical expression through work with concerts, instruction, choirs and folk music performances. In addition to her work with folk music, she is conductor and musical director for the Gregorian Choir 'Schola Sanctae Sunnivae', which has won acknowledgement and praise both at home and abroad.
